Nepal Seattle Society (NSS)
presents a breathtaking video documentary "Reporter on
Top" and Everest slide presentation of Mr. Ang
Chhering Sherpa on March 18, 2006 at the Seattle Center -
Lopez Room. Mr. Sherpa writes for the Kantipur National
Daily of Nepal as a journalist and successfully climbed the
highest peak of the world Mt. Everest on May 22, 2003.
Please join us for this exciting evening with Mr. Ang
Chhering Sherpa, the pride of Nepal and South Asian
journalists. This event is co-hosted by Northwest Sherpa
Association.

hour slide presentation and 30 minutes video documentary of
The First Nepali Journalist Everest Expedition 2003
"Reporter on Top."
Venue: Lopez Room at Seattle Center Northwest
Rooms, 305 Harrison St., Seattle, WA 98109. Located between
Key Arena and QFC grocery store.
Time Schedule: 4:30pm: Entrance starts
5:00pm: Everest Slide

Guest Speakers: Mr. Lakpa Rita Sherpa
& Ms. Peggy Gudgell
Mr. Lakpa Rita Sherpa

Lakpa Rita Sherpa was born on 09/09/1966 in Thami
village, Solukhumbu, Nepal. He now lives in Seattle,
Washington/USA with his family. He is a full-time
professional international mountaineering guide. He is the
only Sherpa to guide all over the world and to attempt to
complete seven summits. Seven summit means the highest peak
of all seven continents. Out of seven summits he has climbed
four which include: Mt. Everest (Asia), McKinley (North
America), Aconcagua (South America) and Vinson (Antarctica).
He has three more to go and he is hoping to complete by next
year. Here is Lakpa Rita Shrepa's climbing history:
* Mt. Everest (Nepal,Asia) - 8 summits.
* Mt. Cho Oyu (Nepal,Asia) - 4 summits.
* Mt. Pumori and Ama Dablam (Nepal,Asia) - 1 summit each.
* Mt. McKinley (North America) - 2 summits.
* Mt. Aconcagua (South America) - 12 summits.
* Mt. Vinson (Antarctica) - 2 summits.

Luce Gudgell

Peggy Luce Gudgell is the second American
woman to successfully climb Mount Everest. She was with the
Northwest Everest Expedition in 1988 and reached the summit
with Dawa Sherpa. Since then she has climbed the highest
mountains on five continents and spent three years bicycling
around the world. She lives with her husband and daughter in
Seattle.
